Travel time to Ludlow ....

...... from Walsall .... anyone have any idea? Multimap is saying its 41 miles (via Bridgnorth) but that it takes 1 hour and 37 minutes ...... but this seems very slow??? Wouldn't it be more like an hour?

It probably is just over 40 miles by the most direct route (Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth) but unless you are travelling when the roads are very quiet, it isn't the route I'd have taken. By chance I did Walsall to Bridgnorth a few months ago on a Saturday lunchtime and decided to go onto the M6, off on the M54, then south at Telford towards Bridgnorth. It took about 45 minutes as I recall.
The route beyond Bridgnorth is a windy 20 miles of B road - so say another 30 minutes for that.
No doubt Buenchico will be along shortly to give us the benefit of his extra insight.
