help with work experience

I have degrees (1st and postgraduate) in architecture from abroad and moved to the uk in the last 18 months.Since I arrived I have taken time out to take a city and guilds course in autocad but I am still having difficulty accessing employment in the architectural field for the simple fact that I do not have any uk experience (I have over three years experience from abroad).I have been searching for relevant voluntary positions but can't find any.At present I am doing voluntary work in the hospitality business.Please how do I solve this challenge.
