MM Links April 2010 [Week 2]

Welcome all you AB Linkers to my second week as the royal setter, namely “Lady Jan” of MM Linkland.
On the whole, I felt that just the right amount of points was picked up last week to make for an EGG-iting contest. Just how will this week go after I come out of my SHELL and share a YOLK or two! I wondered which way to go this week in order to bring you to the BOIL or SCRAMBLE your brains. Will the small FRY POACH a point or two? Only time will tell!
April is a busy month this year: we have had the four-day Easter Break. Last week saw Cambridge beating Oxford in the boat race in an exciting finish. Later today, we will have the Grand National at Aintree: where even non-gamblers are often tempted to have a flutter. Of course, the other big event in April will be the Marathon when lots of people will be running round the streets of London. This always brings strange combination of serious marathon runners from all over the World and the fun runners (some even in fancy dress) competing only to raise money for their chosen charities. I always think that there’s something uniquely British about the whole affair!

Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My second set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
