Yesterday went to see Calendar Girl in Bristol, prior to the show we wandered round shops and there it was - a Fish Spa!! I have seen it on tv and read about them in the papers but its the first time I have come across one. I had to do it as I know I would regret it if I walked away. £10 for 15 minutes. Wash feet first then put them into a deep container of tepid water with hundreds of tiny fish swimming about. They instantly make a beeline (or should that be a fishline) for your feet and legs. It doesn't hurt just a mild tickle, but its fascinating to watch them. They seem to fall out over who gets the best bits.
Afterwards my feet felt so smooth and soft it was well worth it.
Now be honest would you have a go?
Voucher site that sends you money off things in your area, I think bednobs or boxtops got me on to it. I've got a 3 course curry meal for two for £20 rather than £60 and this fish spa thing for £9 instead of £30. There's lots of good offers on there and they email you the offers daily.
There's one in Brighton - I expect it will become really popular for a few years as a fad.
Do you think they do a sideline in fried whitebait with the dead ones?
I certainly would have a go, my feet need all the help they can get!
I don't think it was me, china? - I looked at groupon but most of the offers are for outlets in the big towns and cities, nothing much local to me (unless I read it wrong).
I have a fishtank here at home; could I not just put my feet in there? Perhaps not, my friend would go nuts if he saw me doing that. Can you post us the link to this site which promotes this odd service? Does anyone else know of a treatment where you are placed in a freezer, which is as cold as -135 degrees Celsius?
The fish are imported by special licence from Turkey. Apparently a man asked the girls in the shop if he could buy a bucket load so he could do it at home, girls said not allowed because of licencing problems
We saw the fish spa in Teneriife, it was really popular, they had about 10 tanks of the fish it cost if I remember rightly about 18euros for two people to share a tank. I would have had a go but I had a blister on my foot. So I passed on that, I didn't want to give them the chance of eating right through.
