I usually check BBC Weather but noticed lately it's almost always wrong and changes almost hourly. Can anyone suggest a more accurate and easy to use site?

I also look regularly at the BBC weather and you're right, it's very unreliable. Work firends directed me to metcheck which is a tad better

Thanks Prudie, quite like the look of that one!
The BBC relies on the Met Office for their information. The problem with forecasting is often timing as weather fronts dont always move at a constant speed. I use the met office radar site to see what's on the way. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/

Thanks Seadogg but that one looks a bit technical for me.
Try this, Haggis

I find it better than the BBC one. Pop your post code in and check out the hourly forecast.
I agree with you about BBC's weather forecast, they said London today would be dry and cloudy not pouring down with rain.

thanks ttfn, like you say, looks good for immediate/that days forecasts
It is better than the BBC for the 10 day forecast too. I use the site every day.
Weather forecasts seem so unreliable lately. Not only does the BBC site frequently get it wrong, but I listen to my local radio station and often they say it's raining while I'm looking outside at sunshine and vice versa !!
I try and get a look at the one in Country File each Sunday - it used to be called the Farmer's Weather Forecast. Generally, it has the right pointers.
As Prudie said, Metcheck is quite good, I usually look on that and theweatheroutlook.com
Having said that, we are supposed to be going to South Wales tomorrow and both those sites keep changing their minds!
This site http://weathersupermarket.co.uk/ lets you compare forecasts from several sites.

Wow Kakurol, that shows how much the sites vary, now I have no idea what the forecast is lol
Same here Prudie.Looks nice, have bookmarked it into favourites.I have also noticed that BBC local forecasts have been getting more and more unreliable over the last year or so,especially when they predict rain for my area, which doesnt happen. They are quite good at predicting dry, sunny conditions, but rainfall is wrong far too much.
Thanks again for link.
The BBC have been appalling over the past week, 100% wrong.

Anything over 2 days is literally always wrong

Very true Jimmy, been keeping an eye on a few different sites this week and once again, BBC seem to give the opposite to what is going on outside my window. Thanks to Prudie's link at the top I have found the metcheck site the best (but not always accurate)
totally agreee about the BBC. One night it had heavy rain for the next day - woke up to brill sunshine and i noticed they had changed it to the sunny icon. I reckon they don't use the met office - just a network of people who look out of their windows
Question Author
That's what happened here toay, BBC forecast rain all week for today but it's been lovely. BBC updated at lunchtime to sunny spells
Hope someone at BBC weather reads some of the above messages.Quite often the BBC computer weather forecasts are different from their TV ones, for the same areas.
I want a firend exactly the same as Prudie's - sounds wonderful.
