UK Warnings - Weather Warning

Issued by the Met Office - Friday 6th June 2014

YELLOW WARNING for RAIN for ENGLAND, WALES, SOUTHERN HALF of SCOTLAND and the EAST of NORTHERN IRELAND.

Thundery downpours are expected to affect parts of England, Wales, the southern half of Scotland and eastern parts of Northern Ireland during Saturday.

The public should be aware of the potential for localised flooding due to the intensity of these storms, although at this stage the location of the heaviest rainfall is uncertain.

Valid on Saturday from 0015 until 2345.

Off to Gloucester for a wedding.....twenty two years this couple have been together....and they choose tomorrow.

The church will be full of Catholics....priests....nuns and...me....so if you're in that area expect lightning bolts....floods and probably locusts.... :-(

Pretty much the same weather pattern 70 years ago today although there was a window of opportunity correctly forecast by Group Captain Stagg(RAF Met Office).If not we would'nt be celebrating the start of the liberation of Europe today.Grab that window and go to the weddings and birthday parties.At least you won't get shot at on the way!!
