Reasons To Be Cheerful

1. Today is my last day at work - my desk has been decorated and I've had some lovely presents.

2. It's been very calm at work for a Friday.

3. I'm cooking a nice dinner later.

4. I'm meeting up with friends next week whom I haven't seen for ages.

5. The snow has finally cleared from our street and it's no longer like an ice rink.

i am cooking for a friend this evening, she is lovely and nice company, doing three courses with an Italian theme,

then thinking of next week and packing to go and stay with my youngest brother for Christmas. Just sent him a cheque to help with the wine, chocs etc.

its not raining now and i'm having a nice cup of coffee.

My reasons to be cheerful,
I have my life back
I won't have to put up with a long running saga for much longer
I have super friends that have been so supportive over the last year
I am going out tonight and hopefully I won't end up in hospital again

My Hermes have just been and collected my parcels to go. Cheaper than Royal mail and collected from my door....splendid!

I'm doing fillet of salmon on a bed of cauliflower puree with sauteed cherry tomatoes and feta crumble. Yummers.

That's useful, Woof, although I have very few people to actually buy for and so I tend to just deliver pressies myself.

I have lost so much weight I am invisible to some lmao!!

Parma ham, salami, prosciutto, cherry tom, and buffalo mozarella to start
with sesame breadsticks to nibble

main course
courgettes, mushrooms, leeks, cherry toms, and garlic for a bit of a kick with prawns over fusilli pasta

raspberry tiramisu to finish
with a nice bottle of Wolf Blass Yellow label Cabernet Sauvignon

Emmie, that sounds amazing! I do like my Italian food, though I tend to take it easy on the pasta, as I am prone to bloat.

2. mates are doing quite well health wise as is a family member.
3. son's lawyer is good (well, so far)

Pleasingly, I have all my own teeth too. I've never even had a filling.

I've got through the winter so far without so much as a snuffle.

All my shopping is done and I have no debt to face after Christmas.

No matter how many bitter, twisted individuals I come across in life, I just keep smiling inwardly ;-)

its our early Christmas dinner, she invited me to hers for Christmas but my brother also asked, so am going down there for a few days.. he's a way off so its not like i can do both.

Its all black Ice on the footpaths outside and I managed to walk to Tesco and back and stay on my quick-footed feet.

The Sun is out so the journey to the pharmacy should be less treacherous (Direct Prescription, so Tesco no good for that)

I'm not so cheerful about having three animated garden ornaments who have forgotten how to lay eggs.
