I didn't even fall in the snow when i broke my wrist, was on a boggy swampy beach, but it's still made me very cautious when underfoot looks slippy.

I loathe and detest this weather. It's come a whole month earlier than it did last year too. I think I need to hibernate.

The only time I've broken anything (says she, clutching wood...) was when I fell off a toboggan - I worry more now about falling and breaking my specs as I did when I fell in the street several years back. My boots now always have nice ridged soles!

Bitterly cold down here in Cornwall and about an inch of the white dandruff down. Out in the sticks and havent ventured out for the risk of ice on the roads - had a small prang with a neighbour yesterday - broken glass on the passenger headlight and a bad crack and he just had a crack......nothing one could do - I was coming down the hill (one lane) and he appeared around the corner, obviously applied the brakes and slid to block the road so there was no where for me to go - on the other side a cottage with a granite wall, on the right some hedge and grass so I took that option to see if I could get some grip but to no avail. An impact of probably 6 to 7 mph max....
