jd -that will be about right -my husband who works on the power lines was up there toady and he got stuck in a long base van which just shouldnt get stuck.He says its horrendous up there.
Im in Perthshire and im snowed in -unusual as we are used to it so have the facilities to keep the roads clear.
I hate the snow and the only ones who like it are the ones who really dont have to venture in it -im worried about my husband today as there has been loads of accidents and we have had fatalities in the last week in Scotland so its not all that !!
He has to work as if he didnt some wouldnt have electricity so its a case of needs must or he wouldnt so we should all think of the people who are woking to enable us to be safe and comfy in our homes.

wolf.....LOL...2 years ago it snowed for 2 hours and then disappeared.........it was such an event that kids were let out of school to experience it.

It brought chaos to the transport system for half a day.

Easy to be snowed in jd-. Quite often I had to ring in to say we were frozen up and snowed in, as we live quite high up. Trouble is if I had togged and booted up and fought my way to the end of the road (about five minutes walk) where we live I would find that there was hardly any snow and ice at all. Treacherous when it's icy and It's always the last street to thaw as well. Not looking forward to tomorrow as it's snowing quite heavily at the moment.
