An interesting program last night with lots of anecdotes from various artists from over the decades.

There was a band member from a group called the 'Birds' not the 'Byrds' or the 'Yard Birds'.
I can't remember 'The Birds', can anyone offer any info on them ?

I notice the wiki page above says "The Birds were a popular rhythm and blues band in the United Kingdom"

Well I grew up in the 1960s in the UK and was a great fan of most pop music, read many music papers (NME, Melody Maker etc), and knew most of the major bands, at least by name.

And I don't remember them so hardly "popular",
