Does this mean that the initial treatment was inadequate OR that the virus can lay dormant in the body to be "aroused" at a later date?

I never understood why the two (I think) sufferers were airlift out of West Africa in the first place - surely it would have been better to transport the equipment over there

It's not been made clear what's gone wrong so far as I'm aware beyond its being related to Ebola. Fingers crossed that she makes a second, and this time full recovery.

In more positive Ebola news, the three countries central to the outbreak reported no new cases at all last week. Almost two years after the outbreak started, it appears to be finally (almost) under control, and never did spread far beyond Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
