We heard earlier of the woman on the bus racist outburst, and now just to level things up a little, here's a man on a bus also being racist.

Wasn't it you who mentioned the Dutch, or Dutch Americans as they wish to be called.

Just popped back to put another shot in your locker. I notice the German Americans are more than African Americans. :-)
//German Americans (German: Deutschamerikaner) are Americans who are of German descent. It is the largest ethnic group comprising about 50 million people,[1] making them the largest self-reported ancestry group in the United States, ahead of Irish Americans, African Americans, English Americans, Mexican Americans and Italian Americans.[6][7][8][9][10][11] They comprise about 1⁄3 of the German diaspora in the world.[12][13][//

douglas - //I've checked with the OED, andy, and they assure me that you can't change the meaning of words then argue that you're right because it's 'what you meant'.
They did, however , say it would be okay for you to go on at great length in your explanations of usage only concede the slip in the end but not before wearing out your keyboard. //
Douglas et al - in as short a message as I can manage (LOL!) - I stand corrected over my misuse of the word 'indigenous'. Thank you for the time and trouble taken to educate me - genuinely appreciated.

Perhaps this may have some bearing on what I described in my 2058 post yesterday.Of course the apologistas and those who try defend the indefensible might just dismiss it as scaremongering and propaganda.

The spirit and ethos of this site, and especially this section, relies on the exchange of information and opinions.
It is hardly in that spirit to post an observation, and than respond to genuine questions regarding your posts to behave as though there is some hidden agenda attatched to even the most innocuous question.
I ask again what an 'apologista' is - and add to it the enquiry if you believe there are any such people who fit that criteria on here?
Contrary to what you appear to believe, I am not trying to trip you up, or trap you into saying something you shouldn't - my record shows that I do not play such pointless games.
Looking forward to your reply based on the above clarification.

Thank you for that.
I understand the term 'apologist' - although I dislike using it.
The inference is that an apologist is someone who is saying sorry for holding their view, which they believe they are not really entitled to, and hold if it's OK with everyone else.
The definition - as you supplied - is someone who simply defends a viewpoint.
So in that case - we are all 'apologistas' are we not!!
