I have just bought an M reg vauxhall corsa for 325, however i have just been called by the man i bought it from to say he wasnt aware but it failed the mot for the following:

Power Steering Pump leaking from a failed component

Centre Steering Rack Power Steering Component Leaking.

Can anyone advise if this is going to cost a lot of money to fix as i think i got the car for a good price and if it is only going to be a small amount then i would keep it.

many thanks

I just can't understand how you cannot be aware that your car has failed an MOT because there had to be a way for the man to get his car back from the garage to his house.

I would suggest you take it back to the person you bought it from. I've no idea about the cost, but the car could be pretty dangerous seeing as it's relating to the only thing that's controlling it.
