Recommedations sought for printer.

Looking for a printer that will print at least A3 size.(Photo Quality) It won't be getting a great deal of use so would prefer an older model which could be found s/h. I do like epson prinetrs but any make considered. Laser or Ink Jet, any idea please?

If you want a printer to do A3's of photo quality, then you should go for an ink yet if you don't want to be spending too much. Quality laser printers do exist, but they'll cost you.

I'd go for an Epson personally. A Photo EX or 1290 should be available for a decent price (maybe the EX is harder to find though, it is a little old now).

I've got a HP Deskjet 1220C which is a good A3 colour inkjet. You can get them on eBay for between �40 and �60 or thereabouts.

I've just had a look on the completed items bit of eBay to see how much they sell for and I was interested to note that someone sold one that would not switch on for just over �10. I had exactly the same problem with mine which was fixed with a 2p resistor and 10 minutes with a soldering iron! Someone got a serious bargain!
