Yapping Crying Dog Next Door
28 Answers
I know I have posted this question before, and we have done as suggested, had a word with neighbours, but to no avail it yaps every time they leave it alone, non stop. So far today it has been going on for hours. The women's comment is that as we can understand, they have to go out sometimes too. We told her to take the damned dog with them and leave it in the car, but she said " oh no, it hates the car and gets very nervous " any suggestion ? I am thinking of slipping a bit of poison under the door when they go out, I am that fed up. ( joke )

I had the same problem a few years ago three huskies howling as soon as neighbours left for work and didn't stop until they got home. after talking to them and got nowhere I got in touch with the council noise nuisance dept. they came and installed microphone near adjoining wall after a week came and said we should not have to put up with this noise and got in touch with neighbours, now only one huskie and peace happy days
If you haven't already burnt your bridges telling the neighbour to 'take her damn dog with her' how about getting her a print off of the leaflet Pasta gave you the link for and ask her to try what they suggest? It may be they really don't have a clue what to do about it and may welcome some positive advice. IF they throw it back in your face then report them.
Togo - You could try the RSPCA. Surely it is animal cruelty to leave a dog in a distressed state...
How are the owners suppose to know if they aren't there?
Caring for a dog is like caring for a toddler. Although we know they might be upset when left alone/babysat there will always be a time that the owner/parent has no choice.

Oh yes the owners know perfectly well that the bloody dog yaps and cries as soon as they go out. The women actually said she regrets getting the damned thing. My point is, if you get an animal, you have to take responsability , all quiet at the moment. mr. sam says the latest fad with nuisance neighbours is to change ones internet password to"bloodydoginhouse36neverstopsyappingandownersdontcare" . They will see it when they go on-line.
