The V&A were right in my opinion in rejecting her clothes. After seeing their Alexander McQueen, Bowie and Westwood shows, a Thatcher show would seem by limited (very few 'iconic' items).

So where should these items go on display?

By the way - no one is allowed to make any allusions to using them this Thursday.

I second the 'burned' comments !
syrians are getting bored now according to friend because they have no play station.
Well, people can 'hate' all they wish but how in heaven's name does burning items calm that hatred down?

Bemused of Bolton.
Nice of you to let people 'hate' all they wish !
Finely shredded and mixed with pate foie.
I`m not surprised that the V&A don`t want them as they are a cultural museum. I can`t say that I think any of Margaret Thatcher`s outfits were particularly iconic. I`m surprised they were even offered to a museum. Maybe her family should just do what the rest of us do when a loved one dies - keep one or two mementoes and give the rest to the charity shop. Unless they desperately need the money of course
