What's For Dinner This Evening?

I wasn't going to bother asking but as it seems to rattle so many people, I thought it worth a go ;)
Whatever you do, don't mention the wine you may be enjoying with it, especially the year or any description, or you'll be called pretentious or a show off :o)
Me, I'm having chicken, cabbage in cheese sauce, sweet and spicy roast carrots and a jacket spud. No wine, just a couple of G&Ts as per.

Now now, some of you really are getting above yourselves here...but you're not half funny ;)
Chateau de spag Bol sounds particularly appetising, as does chateau tetley du cha, both cheeky little numbers if I remember rightly although sometimes with an acidic finish...
Quite fancy talbots melt in the mouth little chap too.

A bit of an odd combination, but I'm doing sausages, ostrich steaks with grilled tomato, mushroon and fried eggs. MrAc picked want he wanted from the fridge and freezer and I'm left to make something edible out of it! Will serve Old Speckled Hen (BBE october 2016) for starters and pudding.

were having hot dogs.. richmond sausage's.. in finger rolls.. with fried onions..and a Cab Sauv..lol.. should go..lol.. tomorrow we've got friends coming for dinner.. and were gonna do Christmas lunch... lol.. we won't see them again til next year..lol..7 weeks today is Boxing day you know.. have a great weekend all Mrs C x

Oh, oh, oh, gotta go and eat. Need to be fed, watered and washed up before strictly starts.
Enjoy your dinner, and your various drinks be they vintage wine, cheap plonk, beer, tea, coffe, fizz, whatever.
I shall go to bed tonight thinking of talbots little melt in the mouth chap, what more could I ask... :)

I spent most of today selling cut price groceries in aid of a charity.....so I'd seen enough food to last me but a friend offered to cook....don't need asking twice.
He's nifty in the kitchen and has an interesting wine cellar so I'm happy.....xx
