Bluebells
5 Answers
I've just noticed a single Bluebell growing in my front garden. I was considering re-planting it in the back garden, as I'm having the front paved over.
Will it be ok if I do this? It seems a shame to just let it get mashed up. Does anyone know about Bluebells? And is it worth the effort?

I've been trying to get rid of Spanish bluebells that come up between my paving slabs, and they're the very devil to eliminate. If you try and lift them, they have the unfortunate (for me) ability to re-generate a new plant from the teeniest scrap left behind. So if you do try and move it, dig around it to a depth of at least 18 inches, and lift the whole thing undisturbed. Otherwise, you'll have a crop of them coming up between the joints in your paving in years to come.
