My laptop lives on a corner of the dining table.....

I was just hopping into the shower....out to dinner tonight and tarting up takes longer these days.....when the storm to beat all storms hit....

Must watch this....thought I....so I went down to the patio doors in the dining room....and heard the sound of a river rushing above my head....

Just had time to rescue the laptop when the river burst through the boxed in joist between the original dining room and the flat roof extension and landed on the table..... minus the laptop.....lucky eh?....☺

Now off to see if I can make myself look less like someone who's been climbing on a roof, in a storm with a torch before the friends arrive.....xx

Had some of that rain around lunch time, gness. Travelling down the A5, all the traffic just pulled over and waited for the rain to ease. The gutters were rivers.

Down here, everybody on the A30 coming off Bodmin Moor was parked in the gutters and the road was a river. That's the Duchy-so-called-County services for you and their lack of maintenance.
