He has known of his condition for about four years, so considering that he admits to having sex with thousands of women, his he now liable to face numerous compensation claims?

I think it is incredibly sad that he has contracted HIV and not know how, I also think its sad that he has been blackmailed over this.

Unless he has wilfully withheld his status from his partners and deliberately attempted to affect them too then I cannot see a rash of compensation claims.

I would agree with the previous posters - it would be extremely hard to prosecute a case that involved the accusation that CS has deliberately and maliciously infected one or more sexual partners with HIV. It would necessitate proof that the accuser was HIV negative prior to involvement with Sheen, and had intimate relations only with him up to and including diagnosis - that sounds to me as though it would be very very difficult to prove.

I feel sympathy for Mr Sheen. How he chooses to live his private life is his own concern, and the fact that his wealth and status left him open to blackmail is a sad situation.

Given Mr Sheen's acknowledged proclivities, that looks unlikely, and I would agree that knowingly engaging in unprotected sex when he is carrying this dreadful disease is very wrong - I have to agree with your point.

Seriously though - I don't personally buy the notion of actors or musicians as 'role models' - although if that is your position - then Mr Sheen is an absolutely valid and perfect role model!

If you have unprotected sex with 'thousands' of people, you run a serious risk of becoming HIV - which is what has happened.

What better 'role model' can you have than that?
