I've been idly looking online but nothing has tempted me. Apparently Black Friday has been a bit of a washout at the shops, too

I had a mooch around Debenhams today and there were some good offers. I didn't buy anything, even though I had my Debenhams Account card with me.
I don't actually need anymore shoes, handbags, scarves, gloves or dresses.
Neither does Mr T.

I am tempted to buy a new Beko Freezer from the Co-op online stores, though. £90 off..........I do need a spare freezer to put in the garage. I will decide later.
I bought a Bush 50'' FHD 1080p LED TV for £289.99 from Argos, being delivered tomorrow.

My son will have my 42''.
As it's an advertising exercise, which works quite well to get some to look and buy what they don't need, has been pretty successful

It hasn't generated the frenzy of last year. I think we're all a bit jaded with year round sales

wired, there were a couple of retailers on TV saying that it brought reduced prices forward from January into November and generally reduced profits per sale
Didn't actually go shopping today
Baldric,
Does that mean that they will be able to declare lower profits and pay reduced tax for 2015?
Oh God .Not more riots and looting.!!

wired, now don't go giving 'em ideas
I didn't get a bargain, but I saw that Amazon have Kindle Fires at £34.99, just a couple of weeks after I got my dad one for £49.99. Very annoying. I didn't think this Black Friday thing was going to continue this year.

Does anyone think that the threat of terrorism put people off?
More like the threat of schemies wrassling over cheap tellies and sundry tat, hc4361.
I had a bit of a look as not too bad really in Manchester Arndale, considering, especially considering the weather, busier than usual at that time though. Got a couple of tops which were very good reductions but nothing else, wasn't going to buy anything I didn't need.

I did wonder about the terrorism aspect, if shops were packed.

We had a security incident in the morning with the main part of our Christmas Markets sealed off but turned out to be a hoax thankfully.

That does look like a bargain, murraymints. Good shopping!

I've noticed some B&O headphones for sale quite cheap (for B&O) but I am dubious. Too good to be true?
