I started with a bearable stabbing pain on the left front side around waist high yesterday. Still have it today. What could it be ?

Could be the start of a bad cold / chest infection, or indigestion, or a pulled cartilage joint on the bottom ribs, or anything else.

Possible tamaris. A brother of mine had the same pain and had ultrasonic(I think that is the right word) treatment to get rid of the stones. He is champion now.
