I have found that sliding doors have been a bit overtaken by the 'pocket door' idea. Now unless you're building a stud wall from new, or have lots of space to spare, a pocket door is a weary thing to install. It fits into a cavity between the two outer leaves of a stud wall. Not ideal for solid walls as you have to make a false wall on the outside of the existing wall. And I've not seen any good explanation of how you get the dust and dead beetles out of this cavity that are bound to accumulate over years of use.

One or two companies do traditional sliding door hanging kits, but they seem much more common in the states than here.

Another solution you might consider is a bifold door. I have fitted one on my downstairs bathroom - you have to fettle the door perimeters with some draught seal strip as they are designed for cupboards, but as a space saving door, using the existing door frame, it works well.
I doubt if you'll find a kit complete with door. There are just too many styles and variety of doors available. It shouldn't be a problem though. The kits are able to accommodate just about any doors on the market.

Personally, I'd never fit one unless it's the modern "hidden" type that Mose has suggested. Ordinary sliding doors just look awful. A kind of opt-out solution that has really gone out of date.

I would much prefer a bi-fold type. I wonder why you can't just fit a standard door to open-out if there is no room in the bathroom.
Builder, the problem with the outward-opening door may be one of...shall we say...defensive modesty? With a bathroom, personally I feel there's a psychological problem -a nagging fear - with an outward-opening door. You can't wedge it shut if the lock's failed / not present.
There's also the issue of space outside the bathroom.
Haha Mose. Just what kind of people do you have in your house? ;o)
You know what I'm going to say ... fit a good lock... or sing loudly :o)

Yes, ideally, I wouldn't hang a door to open out. You have to kind of walk around it as you pull it.
