corned beef tins

Having cut myself yet again,can someone please tell me why the corned beef tin is shaped the way it is.

Argentine's revenge? It's just a traditional shape, made for stacking, that doesn't roll about, and it makes the corned beef easier to slice on a plate. I use a cheap ordinary key-type can-opener - it'll get round the tight corners OK. Open both ends and push the corned beef out. Taa-raa!

Mmmm corned beef stew!
cornbeef is discustin i relise in the war people had to eat it but why now when we have angus beef chicken lamb as for the tin throw it in the bin and order a take away
