Concur with the "cold" (how did it ever get that name?) but at the risk of being overly repetitive (is that redundantly reiterative?) be sure to irrigate the sinuses several times a day with saline solution. Not only will it cut down on the mucous production it will also help with the sore throat which is caused almost entirely by the bacteria filled mucous drainage down the back of the throat...

They used to call that a cold. Nowadays it is an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. Happy New Year Clanad. I`m off to New York on NY Eve. I doubt I`ll make it until midnight. Might hit the shops the next day though.

Yes, of course, it can be just a cold. It is human nature that we ignore small diseases like a cough and cold and the result of this ignorance is it becomes worse. I suggest consulting a doctor. He will assure you if it is just a cold or something else.

Mr.AC had man flu, it was awful. Lasted a whole 3 days! He is now testing out the new chillies and spices we got for Christmas. Hoping it may burn his tongue and therefore get peace for a further 3 days!
