A raw throat, coughing, and aches and a headache, are the symptoms. Not to mention the nose running like a tap.

My cold is just like that.

I swear colds are getting worse sandyRoe. When I was a kid it would be a runny nose and a thick head. Now it feels more like what i would call 'flu'. But it's not bad enough to be proper flu. Maybe we feel it worse as we get older? Or maybe the viruses are getting more powerful?

I had similar symptoms... then left with a terrible cough for eight weeks,! not nice and like a really heavy cold for three and half of those weeks...Fell better soon x

If I'd got confirmation of my tentative diagnosis of man flu I'd have prescribed bed rest and went to my scratcher until the holidays were over. As it's only a cold I'll just have to soldier on..

Sandy....this sounds like the worst case of man flu ever....you're being very brave about it......but I think you need to cosset yourself for at least a week.......xx
