My Sky bill as a Norm with Land Line And the family Package, £74.00, we do not have any fancy Film / Music channels only discovery, contacted Sky to cancel my Account after a 20min conversation Broadband F.O.C For 10months, the rest of the package down £15 per month, if you think your costs are too much with SKY, Contact them & tell them you are thinking of leaving, I hope this might help you outlays.

£38.00 pcm gets us unlimited broadband, free weekend and evening 'phonecalls and a Youview box where we can watch/pause/record live TV, watch catch-up TV.....along with all the Freeview Channels available.

This is with TalkTalk and will save more than haggling with SKY...

I don't have a choice but to stick with Virgin. I don't have a BT line and even if I paid to have it installed the broadband speed would only be 2-3 Mbps, compared to the 150 Mbps I get from Virgin. Until BT upgrade the lines in my area I'm staying put.

I tried it and I would have got more if I carried out my threat, but on the basis I live in the middle of nowhere and Sky are the only suppliers I figured I had best give in and accept their offers!

I tried this one time, hoping to get a better deal, and they just went ahead and tried to cancel. I had to stop them and ask if they couldn't do anything for me. Ended up with a much better deal but had to be on my toes.
