For goodness sake. Never mind about lessons on Islam let us have lessons throughout the UK on British Values & the necessity of integration. Please let me remind you once more this is a British country & if foreign tribes wish to settle here the least they should do is learn our language & customs.

I can't believe that it hasn't been pointed out that none of the above (including etc, etc.) are blowing up aircraft, attacking cities with suicide bombers and automatic weapons, beheading and mutilating people then posting it online, destroying world heritage sites, preaching hatred on OUR streets and recruiting children to follow their example whilst promising more to come.

When I taught in Bradford (until 2001) there was an agreed curriculum which taught the 'nuts and bolts' of all faiths (including Jainism - we had one Jain in school). This had been agreed by all faith groupings and worked well..... There was one 14-yr-old white lad who asked me what Jesus had to with Christmas, however, so perhaps the R.E. up to that point hadn't been too good?!
