In summary he wasn't trained to use a car in the use of a barrier to nutters on, off road, uninsured, untaxed scramble bikes. So he must be criminalised for using common sense. Good job it wasn't a toddler drowning in front of non water aware personnel, or child on a window ledge and no one with a height awareness badge in attendance. Just read the very end of the link.
It says '' For 7 years Mr Blades was a 'Special Inspector' in charge of 47 men'' now according to the story he is only a 'special constable' had he already been demoted before this incident, and this was the final problem that made his sacking inevitable?
It also says that he was advised to plead guilty to dangerous driving avoid a jail term. That to me suggests that this was a serious offence with a lot more to it than the 'Wail' has chosen to print. Jail is only an option for the most serious cases of dangerous driving.It is normally a fine and 9 points.
