Bleurgh. It seems that every day the Daily Mail is running stories complete with video about bursting pimples, boils, blackheads, cysts...

I can't bring myself to watch but I don't understand why some people want to nor why it is in a daily newspaper.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel? Pandering to Generation Y?
After years on YouTube consumption, I guess modern 20-somethings have literally seen everything an constantly needs the gross-out levels ramped up. If they're bored at twenty but increasingly likely to live to 100+, I actually pity them.

This has been explored in Sci-Fi; a 60s BBC play postulated a 21st century live TV show with on-screen sex and deaths. Last I heard, Big Brother is halfway there, already.

I am another one who enjoys watching that sort of video. Some of them are a bit disappointing, but some are good viewing. There is ear wax removal and picking out ingrown hairs.

But they are not as good as cat videos.
