Using the above prog.I want to print three different photos 2"X2" onto a sheet of A4 paper. When I set Image>resize>size and put in the necessary figures. How do you get the photos to show with the proper sizes.I have to guess by "pulling in"the corners.Thanks..

Set a new Image at A4 (210 X 297mm). Open the photos in pse and size them at 54x54mm. Copy them one at a time into the A4 Image. Print.

Thanks Zacs,I've set the size but it won't show as wanted I still have to pull in the corners
PSE can be tricky to use because issues of 'absolute' and 'relative' sizes come into play, along with the image resolution.

If you simply want to be able to cut out three 2" x 2" images (with their actual position on the page being unimportant), forget about PSE altogether and open Microsoft Word (or a similar word processor) to show a new blank A4 document.

Go to Insert > Picture > From File, navigate the the location of your first file and double-click on it to insert it into the document. Then right-click on the image and select 'Size and Position' (in newer versions of Word) or 'Format Picture (in older ones). Set the measurements to 5.08 cm square.

Hit return a couple of times (to leave a space between your images) and repeat as above. Then repeat again. Job done!

Hi there chico,I think that you answered one of my queries ages ago when you suggested using Mic Word, but I haven't got that prog. All I have is Mic.WORKS processor but that doesn't seem able to follow your instructions. Thanks
Mcrosoft Works is totally dire. (it can't even handle some of Microsoft's own document formats!)

Maybe it's time to put a decent (totally free) office suite onto your computer?
https://www.openoffice.org/

My instructions above work in OpenOffice Writer (except that, when you right-click on an image it's 'Picture' that you need to select to access the sizing options).

Hi chico I've d/loaded open office but I can't see how to follow your basic instructions even to a NEW sheet size. Please bear with me on this one.Just a bit more detail please,I'm still the old duffer from before. Thanks.
Go to Start > All Programs > OpenOffice 4.1.2 > OpenOffice Writer. The program will open with a blank A4 document already in front of you.

Go to Insert > Picture > From File.
Navigate to the location of your first image file and double-click on it.
When it displays in your document, right-click on it and select 'Picture'.
Change both the height and the width to 5.08cm.
Click below the picture and then hit 'Enter' a couple of times (just to create a bit of space between the images).

Repeat for pictures 2 & 3, then print as usual.

Now that you've got OpenOffice, you've got a suite of programs which are just as powerful as Microsoft Office. If you think that you might, at some time in the future, need to send a document to someone who only has Microsoft Office, you might wish to change the file format which OpenOffice uses by default when you select 'Save'. I'm baulked at the first hurdle,no Open office WRITER
You have to click on 'Open Office 4.1.2' to get the list of component programs to show. Then you can choose 'OpenOffice Writer'. (If you only see 'Open Office 4.1.2'. or just 'OpenOffice', try clicking on it anyway. You should then see an option to choose the program component that you want).

Hi chico thanks for your patience,I've managed to do most of your info except that I can't get the three photos on the same page, they're on individual ones.
I've just tried it myself. It worked fine for me. I suspect that you omitted to click below the image before pressing 'Enter' a couple of times.

Oh well, at least we got there - even if it was at the expense of a couple of extra sheets of photo paper!

If you ever need to type any documents in future, OpenOffice Writer is far more flexible than Microsoft Works.

Thanks chico,I finally got there I took the wrong direction instead of
Go to Insert > Picture > From File. as you said I went straight to the "file" which upset everything. Thanks again.
