We hear very little from a man's point of view, do we even have a 'Man's Day' or a Man's Minister?

OG Some of us older males will treat women with courtesy but get it thrown back in our face so it is hard to know how to please. Now we can't open a door for some ladies or give up our seat without some nasty rebuke. If we say some one looks like they are out for a gay old night we are casting aspersions on their gender. If we say 'Our women' we are being possessive and...

I do believe that life is harder and more dangerous for women as it is for men.
I read about it in a piece in the Independent.

^ sorry Jim, it doesn't even come anywhere close to answering the question.
Which sex was given priority to flee the stricken Titanic?
The forthcoming Sheffield by-election Labour nominees are all women.
In general etiquette it is expected that a 'Ladies first' policy is adopted.
There are Ladies day events at top racecourses.
Ladies are the breadwinners.
Men are judged by their women.
Women finally broke through years of tradition to have membership at the MCC!
Have I come closer to proving my point? ;)

Shame of it all is too many younger women do not remember how men ,who had manners, treated them in years gone by. It would seem they are politically brainwashed and have to brand some people as 'ists' when an innocent vintage remark is said by a male.
I am not going to sink to the pathetic level of political correctness and apologise for what I do not consider an inappropriate phrase or saying.About time some people here dumped their PC worship and learnt some some old English polite pleasantries and ignored the BS from across the Atlantic where PC was invented and they can shove it.
If women wish to be taken seriously stop making stupid remarks about innocent comments of old.

I kind of agree with you, Retrocop. It's always nice when someone opens a door for you, regardless of the gender of the opener.
For both sexe, it's a touchy subject to compliment a woman on her appearance. I remember saying to a female friend that she looked really good that night. She replied "oh, I usually looks hideous, do I?" You can't win, really.

This is a man's world
This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing Without a woman or a girl
You see man made the cars
To take us over the road
Man made the train
To carry the heavy load
Man made the electric light
To take us out of the dark
Man made the boat for the water Like Noah made the ark
This is a man's, man's,man's world But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing Without a woman or a girl
Man thinks about a little bit of baby girls
And a baby boys
Man makes them happy 'Cause man makes them toys
And after man's made everything Everything he can
You know that man makes money To buy from other man
This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing
Not one little thing
Without a woman or a girl
He's lost in the wilderness
He's lost in bitterness
He's lost
