Has anyone recently had a new bath suite and tiles fitted. I have a very small bathroom approx 1.5 metre by 2 meters which requires tiles all over and a new suite installed. I was trying to attempt this on a budget of 1000 but so far the quote just to install the bath and tile is 1500 without materials. Does this seem about right?

Hi kelly, that sounds a bit steep, you can buy a cheap suite in B& Q for about 200.00 at the moment, and it may cost another 200.00 to have it fitted,I would then ring round independant tilers or ask family and friends if they know anybody that can do tiling, some plasterers are good wall tilers, you could also ask a local self employed builder to give you a quote,it wouldn't take long to tile a bathroom that size, Good luck, Ray

I have just had a new suite fitted and tiled for 330 - although it was a recommendation and was probably a bit cheaper your quote sounds high....get a few quotes and compare - if it's a small job they may have charged a lot if they don't want the work....try to get recommendation from friend or neighbour as this will be a bit cheaper.

It sounds very expensive. We had ours done, the old one ripped out, new bathroom suite, shower, underfloor heating and tiling fo 1500, plus materials.
