I have been asked to organise a very quiet wedding for a couple who have been together for 40 years.

cool, well they do day excursions in the Uk so check it out and see if they can fit it into the actual ceremony. can u get married on the train?

organise a "quiet wedding" by the coast. maybe a nice hotel with sea views and nice country side inland.

if its an expensive do, take them to a sunny get away. somewhere hot and romantic. white sand and no brit lager louts !
