Corbyn is a fan of Hamas, which places him squarely as an enemy of Israel; http:// www. telegraph. co. uk/ news/ politics/ Jeremy_ Corbyn/ 12035511/ Jeremy- Corbyn- praised- magnificent- pro- Hamas- rally. html

"f it goes so far as to support Hamas policy of wiping israel (and presumably its people) from the map then it IS the same thing. murder is murder, regardless of in whose name it is committed. " - surely you've seen some of the Labour supporters on here, even a moderator, calling for the removal of Israel? They then claim that is not anti Semitic on a regular basis. This thread does seem very low on gromits.
Naomi....we must stop agreeing about things, otherwise people will start to talk.
Israel is most certainly established and with the help and power of America and its lovely dollars, it certainly isn't going anywhere. But with a bit of good-will on all sides, the Palestinians could have there homeland as well, instead of being forced for the last nearly 60 years to live in glorified internment camps.
As the population of Israel was formed by the survivors of Nazi death and work camps all over Europe, it has always amazed me that the Jews were so quick to want the Palestinians to exist in similar squalor.

I have visited Palestinian refugees and I can assure you there is no comparison between their accommodation and Nazi death camps. Please don't equate the two.

Naomi....no of course there isn't, and I had no intention of suggesting that there was.
But the Palestinians are still being kept in glorified internment camps, and its about time, after 60 years, that this situation was solved.
When the UN awarded Israel Statehood in the late 1940's, I am sure it was never the intention that the Palestinians should still be living in the same camps that they were forced into all those years ago.

They probably won't 'cure' their institutional anti-Semitic racism with Mr Corbyn as leader. Angry leftist anti-Zionism usually amounts to anti-Semitism & Jew hatred as labour members have shown us time and time again recently. I'm surprised the (fake) anti-fascist/racist groups aren't shouting louder but the silence from these weasels doesn't surprise us.
