Things were FAR FAR worse in the past but we never heard of it. Newspapers did not report such things, it was thought that reporting it would encourage others to do the same.Now with 'scandal sheet' newspapers and social media we hear it all.

Oh yes they did, perhaps not about children murderers, because they did not happen, at least not in all my 80 odd years I can never remember one.

Other murders of course were reported in the newspapers, even back to Jack the Ripper, Dr Crippin, Heath, and Haigh.
