Facebook Notifications - I Don't Want Them
For about 4 months now, I've been getting notifications about new posts on Facebook; even when I haven't got a Facebook tab open. I would like to put a stop to this, as I find it very distracting.

In which case I'll guess that you're using Chrome as your browser. One of the reasons I don't like Chrome is because Google tries to link together everything you do using their products and services.
