But my God - friend has now taken pretty ill - was prescribed antibiotics for hickman infection - took an allergic reaction and has broke out in a massive rash all through her body - now given antihistamines - so doesn't know where she is - particularly - no nurses available when she is doing her ablutions and needs nurses to "cream" her down re the rash. Was due 2nd bout chemotherapy this Tuesday but due to her sickness won't be going through it.
Her sista has now informed me with only one bout of chemo - her hair is now starting to get "thin" - falling out.
Still withall doesn't want visitors - I truly understand - nobody sick wants to hear visitors talking "inane talk"
She told me last visit - she was trying to text some friends NOT to visit her - so what do you do - I am damned if you do and am damned if you don't - but I respect her decision big time.
Is this chemo a good thing or what.
Don't get me wrong - all of us just do what the authorities tell us what to do - but are they the right.
I have known 3 cases of old friends in the past who refused chemo re their problems and 20 years down the line - they are still here.
Re visiting, if she doesn't want it , then people must respect that for now. Simply say you'll be there if she needs you.
Chemo is something only she can decide advised by the team treating her - so sad she hasn't access to enough home nursing. Have all the possible agencies been approached?
