Last night an ad on TV about the EU Referendum said that we have until 7 June to 'register' to vote. I thought that if we were already on the electoral roll, we were eligible anyway. Anyone else aware of this?
It's probably a bit ore important than a Game. But if you are already registered (eg if you were eligible to vote in the election last June) then you will be eligible to vote now
You're quite right viv. I think they're just stressing that you need to be on the electoral roll to get a referendum vote so, if you're not, get on with it.
The reminders to register to vote is reaching overkill. I rang HMRC a few days a go and had to listen to a long reminder about the EU vote and how to register- I wasn't best pleased as I was paying for the call
Yes. And I think there was an issue at the last election about younger people (maybe who were living at parent's address) having to register in their own right last year rather than just automatically being added when they reached 18.
Yes ff, I too rang HMRC and had to listen to that message, good thing they couldn't hear my language at the other end-or maybe they could, knowing how monitored we are these days!
