Car Wont Start

have a renault scenic car, i can open doors all lights come on put the key pad in but it wont start.any idea why it wont start.

It's broken.

Do you get any sound ? What are you experiencing ? Is there a loose wire ? What do you see ?

Starter motor / alternator problem.

Why don't you push it round here so we can have a proper look.
It's difficult to diagnose the fault with you so far away.

My guess is the battery is flat.

Does the engine turn over but won't fire up ?.

Doh! If the battery was flat the light wouldn't come on.

Immobiliser?

You haven't said what year your Megane Scenic is but I remember that Immobiliser problems where quite a common fault in early Meganes, you could give this a try.

The light may come on but the battery may not have enough juice for the ecu to allow the engine to turn.
