Why Hay Fever?
12 Answers
Why have I suddenly developed hay fever? I've never had it before but these last two weeks my eyes have been sore and weeping and my nose is irritated. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions for an effective treatment will be most welcome.

It only lasted a few weeks and was put down to a tree pollen (either oak or birch). I then didn't get it for a couple of years, but now I'm really husky and feel my chest clogged-up. I'm in E, Yorkshire and the rape is in full flower,so I think it might be that. Fortunately, I sing, so my lung capacity is greater than most.
I developed hay fever many years ago when a field behind our house was planted with oil seed rape. It was awful for several years until I got some local honey (and it MUST be local to where you live) and had a teaspoon every morning before food and drink. It worked and I've been h/f free for years.
