I don;t mind politicians being given a hard time but they should be allowed to answer without the interviewer trying to fire another broadside. Not telling the interviewee what examples they have or do not have.
Nor should they really prevent them answering in their own way. When a question is a 'trick' one in that it is fairly irrelevant but formed to sound more important, so that the only direct answer sounds bad but doesn't really matter, it is fair enough to respond by stating why it isn't relevant rather than play the interviewer's game. But that tactic seems to consist of just that, and continually repeating the desired answer.
