Havent heard from friends - who I have been great friends with - - am hurt - it is some weeks now.
Looked after this friend when her daughter beat her up and drew blood from her - some years ago - put her up in my home for a week, also kept son for a week for various reasons - DOES IT ALL MATTER - HURT HURT HURT
NO RESPONSE FROM HER - wWHAT WOULD YOUR RESPONSE BE -
wHAT RESPONSE DO YOU WANT - - D0 YU LEAVE IT OR NOT - OR JUST GOING YOUR MERRY Y0UR Way -
Do you actually know that this friend is well , has it occurred to you that she may be ill or unable to contact you? She could be ill ,in hospital or even dead for all you know!
SHE IS TOTALLY FANATIC RE THIS SECOND DAUGHTER WHO HAS GIVEN HER GRIEF UP ON GRIEF. ALL OF THEM HAVE RECEIVED A SOMEWHAT INHERITANCE AND I THINK IT HAS GONE TO THEIR HEADS.
NO POLICE NEEDED - SHE IS KNOCKING ABOUT - NEXT TIME I WILL HEAR FROM WILL BE SHE WILL BE IN TROUBLE (BUT VERY PROUD). nO i AM LETTING IT GO - SORRY GUY FOR CAPS - MY BEDROOM LIGHT IS BROKEN AND DONT KNOW WHAT I AM TY[PING - MY GOD HER AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MANY HARD TIMES - TOO HARD TO EVEN TALK ABOUT. BUCK EEJIT
It's sometimes the way of it Conne, that friends just drift apart, no malice intended. But as you are worried, try an email, a phone call or just drop round on the grounds 'you were just passing'. The daughter sounds like a hound of hell! So I understand your concern. I would start with an email enquiring if all is well.
I have friends I don't see from one year to the next but when we do meet up is like no time has passed.
I had my children when I was young so nowadays I'm here with barely any day to day responsibilities while my friends are running round after their kids.
wbm - she can't email or text - my last two phone calls to her - she was busy and I truly believe that (on that day) but she has had other days when she coulda rang back. Like that too when we do meet up it is as if nothing has happened.
Part of the problem is mine too - she wants to run and run and I don't - she goes to all these pensioners "dos" and I don't - I have been to them over the years - been there and done that. Also when you go to the dos - they are sitting in the same spot, same haircut literally for years and everybody pretending to enjoy themselves with "chapel face.
I think your last reply sums it up really JJ - you like different things in life - I've got acquaintances like that and though it's nice to meet up now and then we don't have a great deal in common regarding interests and hobbies.
PS - she is now getting fed of the same old - singers who can't sing - up they get - after a bit of a swallie - then you might get a smile out of the chapel face LOL
