Boris Johnson seems to have dropped off the grid since his "achievement" the other day.
Even his nitwitter account has been silent since the 23rd (as far as I can see).
Could it be dawning on him what he's actually done?

On Friday, I said that he was probably thinking, 'Oh my God, what do we do now?'

Perhaps he's had a weekend having a think about it.
He's in his secret bunker plotting his strategy re the top job:-)
I expect hes planning and researching the best way to go forward. He dealt very well with the morons shouting abuse outside his home.
Yesterday he was at a charity cricket match. No doubt from today he will start canvassing MPs to see if he has enough backing to stand for PM and then his campaign will start.
I think he is sneaking into Number Ten by the back door, to measure up for new curtains dougie !

But at least someone has found Gideon, in whatever hole he has been hiding in, and dragged him kicking and screaming to a microphone
Perhaps he's been at home for the weekend.
He was playing cricket with his family this weekend - apparently it is something the Johnson's do to mend bridges!
I think Osborne has effectively passed the buck to his successor, he and Cameron both know that trying to deliver a workable solution that fits in with the expectations of the majority could be a poison chalice and is not something they could handle. I hope this is not the case and Boris or whoever and his/her chancellor can find a way through that will make them go down in history as brilliant politicians
By delaying his exit until October Cameron has left everything in limbo. Why he can't go now and leave his successor to get on with sorting things out is beyond comprehension.
Danny...agree 100%.
Which successor though , danny.? There has to be a process for finding one and that is underway. There is also no rush to invoke article 50- even if Boris becomes PM tomorrow he has said there should be no rush to invoke Article 50.
Islay, yes his dad mentioned this cricket match on the Last Leg on Friday evening. The Johnson team made up of dad, 4 sons, a daughter, in-laws, etc. Even had Kevin Pietersen represent them one year.
Ken...smacks to me of fiddling while Rome burns.
FF Even if they found a succcessor tomorrow he /she could not do anything until Cameron goes,We can't have two PM's.
It gives some continuity though danny and gives time for the party to have well thought out selection process. The candidates themselves know they need to draw up a plan for what they will do if they get the job. I agree though that the sooner it can be sorted the better- maybe 2 months should be sufficient
Mr Cameron has said he is going in a few months time and someone will replace him then. In allowing the dust to settle after the referendum, he is doing the right thing.
Osbourne is not a man of honour. He had a cat, then got a dog - they didn't get on. He got rid of the cat - Freya. First in last out !

Now poor Larry will be dismissed from his post at the chief mouser - unless Boris adopts him.
