You do not need to physically hold the gold you buy. Thre are plenty of dealers who will hold it for you.

Furthermore, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Gold is seen as a "safe haven" in turbulent times. But whilst its long term growth is good, in the short term it can be erratic and does not always behave as expected. Also bear in mind that your investment is not protected as cash is.

It is true that shares have taken a pasting since Friday. But they will recover and so long as they are not sold in a panic there is no loss. If you hold your savings in the bank or building society there is no need for concern.

What money?

hahahaha o god listen to her ! Banks down 30% including the ones we own, Ni and 3T have said that share values are all a matter of confidence and nothing has changed. The markets didnt listen

In terms of 'are any banks gonna fail' - fail further rather than fall further - no and there is no need to worry unless your holding are more than er £75k. Not many brexiters with that amount of moolah or else they would have voted ....

are there any investments to stop your pound losing its value ( further, or as Ni might say, start to lose its value ) yes - so called defensive stocks but it is far far too late to start that run around. Ya shoulda done it before you voted ....

sozza serious answer to jokey quezzie
Would this be a good time to invest in drink and tobacco companies? People will need something to comfort and console them in the hard times ahead.
