Today is the 47th anniversary of the last time The Beatles ever played in "public", on the roof of the Apple building in London-----until they were told to stop by the police.
No because I was too young. I can remember though that all of their songs were re released in the summer of 1975 which brought their music to us, the next generation
Sheesh! I was 21...and the cops in that clip don't look much older. Everyone looks so serious!...why aren't they dancing in the street, its the swinging 60's!
Well I did change my affection (lust haha) from George to John but I went off John as soon as he married Yoko Ono!!! He also went and looked very weird around that time ....... :)
// I remember it well. They were an icon and set the standard.//
yeah the four lovable scouse mop-heads set the standard for greed, pointless infighting and inability to realise that the sum of the Fab Four was much more than the parts
inability to work as a team and set a common goal and work towards it was the bane of the late sixties and seventies
and the Fab Four typify it
greed, PP? The guys paid 19/6 in the £ tax and were probably ripped off more than any other musicians in history. No wonder they wanted to see some of what they made. But they did split the money four ways (unlike the Stones, who were basically employed by Mick and Keith.)
