mini equinox

Hi,

can anyone tell me how to open the bonnet on a mini equinox? i have found the lever inside and pulled that, but i can't seem to open the bonnet?

The car is 1996, and 1275cc, it is a standard mini shape, if that helps.

sounds like you may just need to give the hood a good rap with the palm of your hand.

Either that or give the front of the bonnet a tug upwards while somebody is inside pulling the lever (it worked on mine) you could try taking the front grille off it helps gain access to the catch
