Filming for the new series is under way but won't be screened till 2017.

There will be a Christmas Special hough.

the same team that make Doctor Who also make Sherlock, season 4 of which is now in production. the writers have suggested this will be the last of Sherlock because it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure the services of Mr Cumberbatch. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/15/next-series-of-sherlock-could-be-last-bbc-shows-creator-warns/

on that basis I wouldn't hold your breath for an early air date for the next Doctor Who series.
