More Windows 10 Info, Please

i'm wondering if i could use a partition (eg aomei partition) to shrink my c-drive to give me more capacity to download w10?

If you are struggling to find space as your C drive is near full you will be suffering speed issues. I`d recommend a larger hard disk as they are neither expensive or hard to fit.
If you still have W7, I would recommend you stick with it.

W10 is OK, and miles better thanW8, but W7 is perfectly good.
Partitioning a drive merely subdivides it; it doesn't create more space. If you need more clone your existing C: drive onto a larger hard drive, and then set the PC to use the new drive as the system disk.
