Called the local police number. They took details and gave us a reference number and appointment time to take the guns in to a named police station, which we did.

Thank you Mikey4444. Jackdaw painted a different picture hence my uninformed post.

Personally I would have put them on Ebay and gave the money to charity but I suppose the op just wanted to get rid.
